DID YOU KNOW?

Nature has no waste - zero, zip, nothin', diddley squat

Which is downward dog amazing when you think about 🤯

Humans on the other paw, produce a lot of waste - wads, tons, masses, galore

Which is devastating to the planet when you look at it 😟

ANDRE HUNTS DOWN THE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

'Andre, my dog Hip gives himself a good shake every morning.  Why does he do this and should I join in?'

Now I’d like to see you shake it off with Hip first thing in the morning!

You know we canines were shaking it off way before Taylor Swift took the stage.

Some humans say this habit is a hardwired instinct for pooches.  Some say we shake to limber up our muscles, shake off the grogginess of sleep, transition to action mode and that we shake off stressful situations….the list continues.

I like a good shake first thing in the morning, it’s a reset for me and helps me change gears.

According to some humans, like Ido Portal, shaking is done by most animals to remove stagnation, trauma and injury.

Ido (and others) believe a shaking session has relaxation, recovery, and regenerative potential for humans too.

A morning shaking ritual for you and Hip may bring benefits, but do your own research first, I can only bark on behalf of the dogs in the house.

HUMANS WHO PLAY NICE WITH THE PLANET®

We know the fashion industry is one of the most wasteful industries in today’s world.

Sending your clothes to landfill may not cost you money, but it costs the planet plenty.

The scale of this issue is mammoth and Upparel are doing there bit to tackle it by collecting, sorting, reusing or recycling their customers textiles.

You can box up your items, book online and either drop them to a post office (preferred) or have them collected from your door.

These guys are certified B-Corp sustainability champions. Check out their impact here.

And, next time that new item of clothing catches your eye, try this as a shake off – rest, reflect, and rethink the need to buy more.

That's all for this month.  I'm off to shake it off!

See you next time.

Howling out,
Andre
