Is it a leash or a lead, you use both words on your website?
You say potato, I say pawtato! We do that because some people say leash and some say lead, and we want to make sure we cater to everyone.
Why are your leash colours called ‘ish'?
No two of our handle patterns are the same (like ever!) and that's the way we like it. The recipe for each handle colour is consistent but how the plastic forms in our production process means the chunks, swirls, splats and splotches of colour form uniquely in each handle.
The handles are made from recycled plastic pet shampoo bottles collected from Sustainable Salons.
The rope is made from 100% recycled PET bottles.
What size and strength are your leashes?
Our dog (or cat!) leash handles are made one size fits all - made to fit all human hands great and small.
We have a standard leash length and a long leash length.
- Standard leash (including handle): 1.25m (1.4yd)
- Long leash (including handle): 1.75m (1.9yd)
- Rope breaking force: 285KG (628lb) minimum
- Leash weight: 211g (7.4oz) approximately
How are your leashes sustainable and eco friendly?
Our leash handles are locally made from 100% recycled plastic pet shampoo bottles. Our leash rope is made from 100% recycled P.E.T bottles. Diverting plastic from the ocean and landfill is just one way we Play nice with the Planet™.
We offer an anytime 'bite back' scheme where you have the choice to return your used leashes to us on our promise that we will re-gift, re-purpose or recycle the entire leash and keep it in circulation.
What about shipping?
We ship internationally and use Australia Post or Sendle. We have elected to offset the shipment of all our deliveries via the shopify carbon offset app. This means every month we pay for the emissions from our deliveries as calculated by Shopify.
The money we pay is invested in the Jari Pará Forest Conservation Project in the Amazon rainforest. This project covers 496,988 hectares of tropical forest in Brazil, an area the size of the state of Delaware, protecting more than 2,400 species of flora and fauna within it.
If you make a purchase using Shop Pay, Shopify will offset the shipment of your package via the Brazil Nut Concession Forest Conservation Project, which protects more than 291,566 hectares of tropical forest in Peru and will prevent 14.5 million tons of CO2 emissions. This project is made up of 143 parcels of land operated by 377 Brazil nut farmers.
How will my parcel arrive?
Limited and recycled packaging is one way we Play nice with the Planet™. When it comes time to ship to you, your lead/s will be placed in a parcel with a card, both sustainable (made from recycled material and recyclable).
When will my parcel arrive?
Generally, for domestic delivery the time frame is between 2 - 6 days depending on your location. International deliveries can take between 2 - 4 weeks depending on your location. In current circumstances this time frame may vary so please bear with us. You will receive a tracking number with your order and if you have any issues please contact us and we will be there to figure it out.
What is your returns policy?
Sometimes things don't go as planned. In the unlikely event your item is damaged, defective or you receive the wrong item, we have a 30 day return policy. For more details, check out Customer Care.
Do you only make leads?
For now, yes. But we have big plans to Rethink, Reuse, Recycle and Re-imagine to create more head-turning, tail-wagging eco friendly pet accessories. Most important to us is you, your pets and that we Play nice with the Planet™.
